![]() Direct Neil Marshall's controversial reboot of the cult comic and film favorite (Guillermo Del Toro and Ron Perlman popularized Hellboy with two previous features) was an unequivocal box-office flop last April. Next up on the Blu-ray-only and overall package-media sales rankings was Lionsgate Home Entertainment's Hellboy. This week, Alita had a very strong Blu-ray market share of 82%. ![]() The film only scored mediocre critical notices (it has a 53% rating on Metacritic), and it ended up grossing almost $86 million domestically on top of its estimated $170-million production budget (that said, the film did much better overseas, to the tune of a $319-million international gross). ![]() Written by James Cameron and directed by Robert Rodriguez, this visually stunning sci-fi epic struggled to connect with domestic audiences following its release last February. For the week that ended on July 27th, Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment's Alita: Battle Angel debuted at number one on the Blu-ray-only and overall package-media charts.
